Leveraging a Chamber Membership

Drew Dinkelacker knows a little something about generating leads, converting prospects and re-engaging customers. Drew has clearly identified his Chamber membership as a successful tactic in the growth plan of his own business.

A member of the West Chester Liberty Chamber Alliance for over 3 years, Drew has very mindfully elected to spend his business resources here. He’s chosen this organization over others because “it’s the right size, it has high member participation, and it’s exceptionally well run. It’s a good investment.”

Because he considers his membership an investment, Drew actively participates. He regularly attends Monthly Luncheons, which he’s found to be a great avenue for quality introductions. And he’s realized the value of the Chamber’s After Hours events, which he says foster the right setting to spend a little more time with a new contact, turning an introduction into a relationship.

It’s through these relationships that Drew has been able to spread the word about the marketing solutions he can offer businesses of all sizes, from comprehensive, premier services to a DIY option of online workshops. Drew was invited to be the presenting speaker at the Chamber’s February luncheon. Engaging the audience of nearly 200, his discussion on the best and worst Super Bowl Ads of 2013 was captivating, entertaining and useful. He developed the presentation because his annual thoughts on these big-spend commercials have long been a favorite topic of those who read Hot Marketing Tips, Drew’s free monthly e-newsletter of strategic insights.

To maximize his opportunity in front of this audience, Drew went a step further than most presenters, and invited a number of his company’s prospects and clients to attend as his guests. With this approach, the recipients of his invitation – even those who could not attend – received a positive impression of him as a thought-leader. And every person who could attend heard an impressive and thought-provoking talk led by a marketing industry expert.
